Subject boards

One board per lesson, not one board for everything.

Every subject needs different tools on the wall. Each Chalkline board will bring the right ones, on the same fast, offline core. Mathematics is available now. The others below are announced and in planning — they are not released yet, and we are not promising dates.

Mathematics Available now

The first board and the foundation for the rest: graphs, integrals, solids with sections, a handwriting solver and an offline AI command mode.

Planned tools

  • Everything on the features page
  • Free download for Windows (64-bit and 32-bit) and Linux

Biology Coming soon

Draw and label the living world: cells, organs, food webs and inheritance, without hunting for clip art mid-lesson.

Planned tools

  • Labelled-diagram templates that you can edit: cell, heart, flower
  • Punnett squares that fill in genotype and phenotype ratios
  • Food-web and cycle builders with arrows that follow the nodes
  • Drag-to-label quizzes you can reveal one tag at a time

History Coming soon

Put events in order and in place. Build timelines the class can read from the back row and map movements as they happened.

Planned tools

  • Zoomable timelines with parallel tracks for different regions
  • Map layers for borders, campaigns and trade routes
  • Cause-and-effect and source-comparison layouts
  • Sort-the-events activities

Geography Coming soon

A map is the whole lesson in geography. This board treats it as something you can draw on, measure and compare.

Planned tools

  • Offline maps and a rotatable globe, with no tile server needed
  • Distance, scale and coordinate tools
  • Climate-graph and population-pyramid builders
  • Blank-map labelling exercises

Chemistry Coming soon

Structures, equations and reactions written the way chemists write them — and checked as you go.

Planned tools

  • Structural-formula editor with bond and ring shortcuts
  • Equation balancer with step-by-step working
  • Periodic table with trends you can overlay
  • Molar-mass and stoichiometry helpers

Physics Coming soon

Make motion and fields visible. Set up a problem, change a number, watch the result move.

Planned tools

  • Kinematics and projectile sketches driven by real formulas
  • Vector addition and free-body diagrams
  • Circuit drawing with Ohm’s-law calculations
  • Graphs of measured data from a class experiment

Help decide

Which board should come first?

The order depends on what teachers ask for. If you teach one of these subjects, tell us what you draw most often and what you wish the board did.

Everything on this page except Mathematics is a plan, not a product. Tool lists may change.

Start with Mathematics.

It is ready, free, and every board that follows will open the same files and feel the same.
