Chalkline for Windows and Linux.
Two builds, so it runs on both kinds of Windows PC: 64-bit for nearly everything made in the last decade, and 32-bit for the older machines still working hard in school labs. Windows 10 or later. Linux users get a single AppImage.
Windows 64-bit
For Windows 10 and 11 on a 64-bit processor. If you are not sure, pick this one.

Windows may warn you the first time. The 2.0.0 builds are not yet code-signed (signing is the first item on the roadmap), so SmartScreen can show “Windows protected your PC”. Choose More info → Run anyway, and check the SHA-256 above against your file if you want to be sure it is untouched.
Which one do I have?
Not sure if your PC is 32 or 64-bit?
- Open Settings → System → AboutPress Win + I, then choose System and scroll to About.
- Read “System type”It says either 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor or 32-bit operating system.
- Pick the matching downloadWhen in doubt, try 64-bit — if your PC is 32-bit it will tell you it cannot run, and nothing is harmed.
Installer or portable?
Two ways to run it
Installer
Adds a Start-menu entry and a desktop shortcut and can be removed from Windows Settings. Best for your own computer.
Portable
A single .exe that needs no installation and no administrator rights. Put it on a USB stick or a shared folder; set CHALKLINE_DATA_DIR to keep boards beside it.
Your files
Boards are saved to Documents\Chalkline as ordinary .board files. Uninstalling never touches them.
